THE CHALLENGE AND ITS HISTORY
Through the years, educational experts have researched many elements considered to affect student learning. At the heart of this line of inquiry is the key belief that teachers really make a difference. Indeed, instructor plays a significant role inside the intellectual progress the students, using various tests and instructing styles to improve students' functionality in school themes.
School subjects' performance is determined by giving an achievements test. The results that are used to determine their achievement level, abilities and failings in every subject area.
The Department of Education (DepEd) offered a device to assess students' performance through the National Achievements Test (NAT). The NAT, administered by the National Education Testing and Research Center (NETRC) of DepEd, should determine students' abilities about five subject matter: Mathematics, English, Science, Philippine and Araling Panlipunan.
According to Philippine Human Development Record (PHDR), research funded by the UN Development program and New Zealand, achievement amounts measured simply by national tests are " alarminglyвЂќ and " patheticallyвЂќ low. The PHDR pressured that as compared with the test results in Mathematics of Filipino students in the 1920s, " which estimated that of American children, current performance in this subject is definitely dismalвЂќ. Furthermore, only twenty-five. 3 percent of universities crossed the 75-percent level in Mathematics. Based on the statistical reviews of National Achievement Evaluation from 06\ вЂ“ 2009, the three nationwide high colleges, namely, Maragondon National Senior high school, Bucal National High School and Pulo national insurance Sara National High School, inside the district of Maragondon confirmed relatively low in their academics performance. It was found out as well that Math subject is a second most challenging subject check.
With this information, the researcher felt that there is a need to discover deficiencies in this field and to find the factors that contribute to the purchase of proficiency in this discipline.
Based upon the assumption that educators have superb impact for the students' accomplishment in Math concepts, this study will give attention to the effect of some teacher-related factors: age, gender, teaching style, and other teacher personal characteristics (educational attainment, period of service, academics rank and satisfaction rating) on students' success in Mathematics in second schools in Maragondon region.
According to Koehler and Grouws' theory, the outcomes of learning depend on a learner's own actions or actions, which are motivated by what the teacher really does or says within the class room.
Depending on this evidence, a summary can be sketched that the students' achievement is usually greatly affected by the instructor. It would be used to the academics achievement in the event that all teacher-related factors will be determined and subject to relationship to know the significant result to mathematics achievement with the students.
The subsequent teacher-related elements are assumed to have results on math achievement, grow older, gender, teaching style, educational attainment, period of teaching service, academic get ranking and performance rating.

The study will be based upon the assumptions that several teacher-related factors such as male or female, age, instructing style, educational attainment, a lot of teaching experience, academic get ranking and performance score influence the students' success in Mathematics.
