History and development of the organization

Production of electrical heating system elements contains a more than fifty-year tradition in Hlinsko. In 1943, a tiny joint share electrotechnical organization ESA begun. It started out with development of little household home appliances, namely cookers and golf irons, where tolerant spirals of own development inserted in ceramic foundation were used. In 1948, a license of a Switzerland company Maxim-Aurau for development of sheathed tubular warming elements of flat-oval cross section has been bought. This released an outstanding development of production of electrical heating components and subsequently heating devices. After becoming a state-owned organization in 1948, the company therefore changed its name to Elektro-Praga Hlinsko in 1950. An investigation and advancement department opened in 1953. Thus, development of heat elements pertaining to various commercial applications was enabled. In 1960, a production of sheathed heating elements with circular cross section has been started. Since 1964, this kind of production continues to be concentrated to a new creation hall offering an area of more than 7000 m2. Modern and productive technology together with building variability generated dominant market share on the Czechoslovak market. In 1991, Elektro-Praga Hlinsko became a joint stock company again and the name was changed to ETA a. s. in 1994, the name becoming identical to its registered trade tag. Production service of warming elements was incorporated because Plant 03 of the Firm. During 1999-2000, the heating elements produced in this Plant under ETA trademark stored its traditional dominant location on the Czech and Slovak market. Since the beginning of 2001, the rose 03 have been acquired by simply Backer Elektro CZ, s i9000. r. o., a member of BACKER GROUP, a part of Swedish concern NIBE INDUSTRIER STOMACH. This concern of European relevance has three divisions, although the heat elements split belongs to the most important ones. It includes twelve development plants throughout the Europe, one of them being Backer Elektro CZ. Total proceeds of the concern was six billion CZK in 2150, of which turnover of warming elements split achieved nearly one half. At the moment, annual development of Dionysus Elektro CZ represents about 1 mil complete heating system elements in wide range of technical parameters for various utilization in many applications in sector, traffic, household appliances, gastronomy etc . In addition to its core organization, Backer Elektro CZ creates instantaneous water heaters, storage hot water heaters, towel washer dryer combos and bath room infrared heating elements.
